Federal law No. 3 of 2013 states that in order for any private courier company to conduct business in the United Arab Emirates, it must hold an Emirates Post Group license. 10% of all license sales are collected by the Group as a fee; a minimum of AED 100,000 must be paid in advance for the entire year. All mail items, documents, and parcels, both domestic and international, weighing less than thirty kilograms, are considered licensed activities. The organization must present quarterly financial statements in a format that has been approved and confirmed by an accredited auditor.
